AIGLE chooses FOOTBRIDGE, our traceability and LCA tool developed with Good Fabric

Updated: Sep 12

AIGLE, an emblematic French textile brand, chooses FOOTBRIDGE to reinforce the traceability of its production channels and the impact measurement of its collections.

They are in store! 55 textile and footwear models from the Aigle Spring/Summer 2022 collection are now tracked by the Footbridge platform. The life cycle analysis of the products, which measures the impact on climate change, the use of fossil resources and the eutrophication of water for each reference, is also calculated and shared with consumers in full transparency.

A meaningful project that will allow AIGLE to better control its supply chain in order to boost the eco-design of its collections and thus achieve the ambitious objectives that the brand has set through its CSR policy, with 4 priority objectives:

1. Trace the manufacturing of its products end-to-end;

2. Eco-design by calculating the impact factors of each model;

3. Prepare for the new environmental display requirements;

4. Differentiate through real transparency on product manufacturing and their environmental footprint.

On the consumer side, it is thanks to a QR code present on the labels of the traced products that everyone, in store or at home, will be able to access proof-based information specific to the product he/she has in his/her hands, to discover all its manufacturing stages from the raw material to the store, and to know its environmental impact via the FOOTBRIDGE mobile application.

FOOTBRIDGE has been specially designed for the fashion and apparel industry. This unified offer of a SaaS traceability platform based on a B2B blockchain (operated by TILKAL) and a Life Cycle Analysis service (developed by GOOD FABRIC) allows to better control the manufacturing conditions of textile products and to meet consumers' expectations of transparency.

In order to reduce the environmental footprint of a product, it is essential to know the real conditions of its manufacture, from the production of the raw material to the garment. Life Cycle Analysis is based primarily on real data collected within FOOTBRIDGE's decentralized blockchain network. This is an essential asset for providing reliable results and enhancing eco-design approaches.

FOOTBRIDGE is a real tool for managing the eco-design of collections. It is also a diagnostic tool that engages all the stakeholders in the supply chain, as well as a lever for progress for the brands that use it.

FOOTBRIDGE finally helps restore trust between brands and consumers. Thanks to its mobile application, consumers have access to clear and transparent information on the manufacturing conditions of the products they buy.
