CAPABILITY · TIER-N DATA COLLECTION

Collecting and connecting data across every tier

Tilkal brings scattered information together, connects it across tiers and links it to the products, materials, batches and flows it describes, creating a reliable data foundation for traceability, risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

Collecting from wherever the data starts

Not every contributor has the same systems, tools or connectivity. Tilkal gives each one a way to contribute, from your own systems to suppliers, upstream sources, downstream operations and specialist third parties.

How do we actually
reach the next tier?

Going beyond Tier 1 requires more than technology.

Tilkal combines collection workflows with a cascading supplier engagement methodology.

Suppliers can be asked to declare their own suppliers and upstream contributors, creating the basis for progressively extending collection across the chain. Where confidentiality limits disclosure, the approach adapts.

Engagement works better when suppliers get something back.

Programs can provide suppliers with useful data or other tangible benefits in return for participation - from data feedback to other derived benefits such as accelerating premium payments.

Turning documents into data

Much of supply chain evidence still arrives as documents: certificates, transaction certificates, invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading. PDFs and scans that someone would otherwise re-key by hand.

Our Visual Document Understanding (VDU) uses AI agentic models trained on supply chain documents to extract the required fields automatically (eg. Certification body, Certification type, compliance with USDA NOP, product category, details and composition, raw material geographic origin).

The extracted data is checked at ingestion, anomalies are flagged for review, and every value stays linked to the source document.

Keeping the data up to date

Supply chain data evolves. Suppliers change. Certifications expire. New batches, products and transactions appear.

Automated campaigns, reminders, renewal requests and pre-filled forms keep collection running and give teams a live view of data completeness.

Campaign Management

Reuse across programs

Once the data foundation is in place, the same trusted information powers multiple business outcomes: compliance, transparency, responsible sourcing, due diligence, Digital Product Passports, and future regulatory requirements.

No need to rebuild the collection process every time a new requirement appears.

Audit trail

A tamper-evident history for every record. The underlying data remains private: only its hash is notarized. Nothing is silently overwritten or deleted. Changes are versioned, so you can trace what was received, what changed and when.

Interoperable

Native support for GS1 standards, including EPCIS 2.0, so data collected through different channels can be connected and reused.
